Nature Restoration and Connection

Lopemead Farm

Lopemede Farm is located in Thame, Oxfordshire with land also extending through into Buckinghamshire at their other farm - Reddings Farm in Long Crendon. They farm 200ha of permanent pasture with land extending down to the River Thame.

They run a multigeneration farming business on regenerative farming principles whereby they are restoring the natural capital of the land, planting trees, new hedges, creating new ponds and restoring ghost ponds, that were filled in during the 1950s.

Lopemede were the first farm in Buckinghamshire to be registered on the national register for a Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) site. Whereby we have restored the wetland habitat of our river fields, by creating scrapes for red list bird species like lapwings and curlews and they have created scrub and restored the historic wildflower meadows which sadly have been lost from our landscape.

"What an incredible place! The best wagyu steak frites and burger ever with incredible truffle mac and cheese and chips! Super children and dog friendly! Recommend the Provence rose! The views are out of this world! Lovely clean loos and super helpful and friendly staff! Will be a regular for sure! Congrats!"
